My Birthday Party

Today was and is my birthday. All I can say is each Birthday gets better with age, must be like wine and cheese. Tonight was a total surprise. I thought Charlotte and I are having pizza at Emma's Pizza Shop, but instead she had me go into Big Olaf Creamery into the back room. I was utterly floored to see a Birthday Party in preparation, with cake and all.

I even had a Camera Birthday Cake. I never knew there was such a thing but here is the evidence.

Erma, my neighbor walked in with a basket of flowers. I don't know why I was so surprised to see her. I guess I was not expecting a party, let alone have Erma there.

 Julie and Charlotte taking pictures.

These are the women which I come in contact with almost every day during my evening bike rides. Julie Hertz, Elizabeth High, me, Erma and Charlotte.

Lightening the candles, plus warding off the air from blowing out the candles.

The birthday cake - chocolate and vanilla with pink and white frosting. We had pizza and Sprite from Emma's and ice cream from Big Olaf, plus this cake.

After we had our fill and the party was over, I took the cake, some extra pizza and Sprite down to the park and gave them to Owen.

It has been a good day for this is the only 61st birthday I will ever have.
